EDX is a fully integrated diagnostics clinic that presents several neuro-testing services for achieving better patients diagnosis and treatment processes.
We present our services to aid Neurologists, Urologists, Gynecologists and Orthopaedicsin obtaining accurate diagnosis and therefore maximum patients satisfaction.
-Nerve conduction studies(NCS) and Electromyography studies(EMG): NCS provide an efficient and rapid method of quantifying nerve conduction velocity (CV) and the amplitude of both sensory nerve action potentials (SNAPs) and compound motor action potentials (cMAPs), while EMG examination can detect myopathic changes in muscle and signs of denervation.
-Anal EMG and Pudendal nerve conduction studies: They are tests used to directly investigate the integrity of the somatic innervation of the pelvic floor muscles and anal sphincters for testing neurologically-related bowel and pelvic disorders.
It is a test that detects abnormalities in patient's brain waves and its electrical activities
It is used to evaluate several types of brain disorders.
The study that assesses how the bladder and urethra are performing their job of storing and releasing urine, it can help explaining symptoms like: incontinence, frequent urination and other urinary problems. These studies include:
- Pressure-flow studies
- Urethral pressure profile (UPP)
- Electromyography (EMG)
We use "Nicolet® Viking Quest™". It is an efficient and reliable portable EMG solution with advanced amplifier technology and proven software interface for (NCS), (EMG), and (EP) testing.
EDX clinic is managed by Dr. Mai Maged Abdel-Salhin,M.Sc. of Clinical Neurophysiology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University.
Our equipment is easy to transport giving us the opportunity to perform our services at your hospital.
Our services are present at: Al Ansary Polyclinics, El Gezira Polyclinic, Al Nokhba International Hospital, Oasis Clinics and Seeds Clinics.
